As snow blankets so much of the country, and many places are experiencing temperatures more usual for Hancock in the winter months, we wanted to share these lovely photos of the lake taken by Emily Leonard this winter. There is more snow there now and the lake is frozen over. Years ago, in Barti’s time, they would have been cutting ice out of the lake and storing it in the ice house for the winter. That building existed through the flood of ’08. (Most of you knew it as ceramics. In the sixties, the kitchen boys lived there.)
Hope everyone is staying warm!
