Thank you for your interest in camp Killooleet! We hope that you’ve had a chance to talk to Kate and Dean about your child. As we are a small camp we like to chat with each prospective family  to answer questions and confirm space in cabins. If you haven't yet reached us please get in touch via the Contact Page.

Please read the following information before clicking the ‘Enroll for 2024’ button at the bottom of this page

The 2024 season will run from Saturday June 29 – Sunday August 18.

We are excited to be planning summer 2024! We look forward to welcoming new and old faces to camp and expect it to be another wonderful season.  We have already begun meeting with new families but still have room in most cabins for a few new campers. As we begin to open enrollment and hire staff, we have been forced to review our finances. Camp has not been immune to the increase in costs for services (e.g., food, fuel, van rentals, staff) that have affected us all at home.  While we hope that inflation will continue to slow, we, like other camps, must unfortunately increase our tuition for the coming summer.

Killooleet has always tried to keep costs low. Camp has been working on diversity, equity and inclusion for decades and we are committed to continuing to do this.  Alumni are also important to us and we want former campers to be able to send their children and grandchildren to camp. We are thankful for the Seeger Bartlett Foundation and American Camp Association Campership programs, who we have worked with for years and they have helped many families send their children to camp.  However, they cannot make up the difference between the true cost of camp and what we have recently charged for tuition.

According to our calculations, in order to cover costs without reducing the quality or variety of activities, we need to raise tuition to $13,000. We recognize that this would make camp unaffordable for some families, including some of our returning campers.  Therefore, we have decided to charge $12,500. Both figures are below or in line with what many full-season summer camps are charging.  We are asking, though, that if you can afford to pay the full tuition you do so. This will make it easier for camp to continue to run as normally as possible this coming summer. Financial aid and payment plans are available. To request aid or a payment plan, please contact Kate and create a tuition plan.

First time campers may choose to only commit to the month of July, (June 29 - July 30) with the option to stay for the full summer. For those that only stay for a month, tuition is $8600.

SIGNING UP & PAYMENT INFO - PLEASE READ

Once you have clicked on the ‘Enroll for 2024’ (below) you will be taken to our CampMinder System. If you are new to camp you will put in all of your info here. If you are returning family then (hopefully) a lot of your current information should be populated for you. Please note that this is only our 2nd year using new system and we are expecting a few bugs while we get everything figured out. If you have any issues or notice anything wrong then please email Paul: info@killooleet.com. Once in the system, where there are instructions, you will see four options for tuition level.  Do know that Killooleet has one program, and children are appreciated and treated equally regardless of tuition paid. If you are a returning family Kate will reach out to you once you apply.  Scholarship recipients should choose the Financial Aid option. This will default to a price of $10,000. You can ignore this and continue to register as normal. We will adjust the price to the agreed amount after you are registered and have spoken with Kate.

In CampMinder you will have the 3 options to pay, including by credit card and echeck through their system.  Both have a fee automatically built in. If you choose manually, you can also send checks payable Killooleet Inc, to PO Box 70, Hancock VT 05748, which have no fee. There are further instructions on the enrollment site

Please note that even though we will bill you in four installments, you can choose to pay in many installments.  An important way we make camp easier to include in your budget is the fact that you can spread out your payments through October 2023.  You can do this regardless of your total tuition.   If you are choosing to do this, we ask you to 1) let us know your plans and 2) put the payment dates in your own calendar.
