We are excited to be planning summer 2023! We look forward to welcoming new and old faces to camp and expect it to be another wonderful season. We have begun to meet with new families and still have room in most cabins for new campers…

For years John began his letters about the Killooleet Sing with these words, and never have they felt more appropriate. Thanks for all of your help, in all of its many forms, Killooleet 2021 was a tremendous success.

On April 10-11, 2021, Killooleet hosted 7 Alumni reunions by decade, going from the 50s all the way up to the 2010s. If you missed them, register your email with Killooleet so you don't miss the next round, early in 2022.

While we weren’t able to be together in person in 2020, we were able to bring a little of the Killooleet spirit into peoples homes with our virtual camp - KLT@Home.

It was a terrific summer! The sun shone most days, and there was enough rain to keep the lake full for much of the summer. Campers and staff came from 15 different states and ten different countries, creating a culture that was as supportive as it was inclusive.

2018 was one to remember! Once again, we had staff and campers from many different countries including Thailand, Iceland, Spain, The Philippines, England, Ireland and Canada, as well as many parts of the United States. The summer started off hot and continued to get hotter, which meant that the lake was the most popular place to be!

Last summer, campers and staff came from 10 different countries including Bali, China and Iceland as well as many parts of the United States. Campers played softball and soccer, fenced and used standup paddle boards in the lake.

2016 was Killooleet’s 90th summer and it was a terrific one! Campers and staff set an inclusive, positive tone. They hailed from 8 countries (Iceland, China, Japan, Ireland, England, Slovakia, France and Australia) and 18 States.

Every once and a while, an alumni letter, or in this case posting on the Killooleet Facebook page, summarizes why Killooleet parents are willing to let their children go away from them for so many weeks

Killooleet 2014 was another wonderful summer. We had sunny weather, a mostly full lake, and an energetic and talented staff

John Seeger (b. February 16, 1914), Director of Camp Killooleet in Hancock since 1949, died January 10th in New Milford, Connecticut after a short illness.
